Updates for J3

Hi Everyone,

Now that we are in full swing I have a few updates and reminders.

Reminders:

1. Please remember to have your child in class by 8:00 every morning. Lessons begin punctually at 8:05 and the students need a few minutes to get ready. There have been many students coming late which affects the learning time and causes disruptions. 

2. The phone list is currently being updated as we received a new student at the end of last week and will be sent home on Monday. 

3. If you have not sent in a vaccination report please send it as soon as possible. 

4. Please make sure to return the take home folder back to school each day as we check for notes and will continuously send class work home. 

Homework:

1. Reading- students are continuing to take 4 books home every week in which they should be reading one each night. If students did not return the books on Friday or Monday they will not receive new ones until they are returned. This helps foster responsibility and respect for classroom books and materials. This week you have received  information on raz-kids. Raz-kids is an online resource for students to use over the weekends. Please keep them reading each night to continue growth.

2. Math- Students will continue to receive 4 math home links weekly(between 2-4 pages of practice sheets). They will also have the opportunity to log into Mathletics to supplement extra practice. The information for each student's log in is located on their take home folder. 

3.  Word Study- Students will be receiving sight word flash cards or booklets next week for them to practice reading and writing their sight words.
