The First Grade HOLIDAY CONCERT is on December 14th at 9:00 am in the auditorium. (The same concert as pre-school). Parents are invited back to classrooms for a Holiday Party at the end of the concert. Students may change into regular clothes/shoes after the concert.
Portuguese: Os alunos continuam trabalhando com a pauta escrita e a pauta sonora das cantigas e parlendas tradicionais brasileiras , para refletir sobre a escrita em Português. Brincar e aprender ao mesmo tempo !
Literacy: Students are learning how to research information for their teaching books. They are also learning the difference between a fact and an opinion.
Math: Students will learn to tell time to the quarter hour and continue practicing addition and subtraction facts. Students will learn about place value with tens and ones.
Science: Students will learn how plants grow. They are encouraged to bring seeds from home to plant at school Students will also investigate whether or not plants need sunlight to grow.
Social Studies: Students will learn about their rights and responsibilities and how it relates to Graded's mission state and core values.
