Dear Parents,
We will be having book share presentations in our classroom (room I – 1) every Thursday at 8:15.
This project will ask each student to talk about a nonfiction book they have read during our independent reading block or at home.
The presentations will be no longer than five minutes and will include a summary of the book and some type of visual aide, like a poster, objects, digital program, etc... You will be able to help your child by asking him/her about their reading and practice “the book talk” at home one day before the presentation.
On your child’s presentation day you are welcome to join us. Attached you will find some useful tips on how to give an effective book talk. They will help your child perform better on that day.
