Introducing CHROMEBOOKS! 

     One of the perks of being in Grade 3 is access to our very own Chromebooks! Of course, the children are incredibly excited and teachers are thrilled for the learning opportunities that they will provide! 

   At the same time, Grade 3 has been reminded that using the Chromebooks comes with great responsibility! These responsibilities, along with their rights,  are outlined in the Lower School Student/Parent Handbook (page 22). Please review these rights and responsibilities.

    As we hand over the Chromebooks to the children, they will be reminded of these rights and responsibilities. Some of these will be outlined in specific lessons, others will be discussed as needed when we use them. 

   Since we are learning to use technology responsibly, it is expected that reminders about responsibilities may be required. In order to show we take responsible digital citizenship seriously, Grade 3 teachers have outlined to following consequences when the expected behaviours outlined in Lower School Student/Parent Handbook are not followed:

First Reminder: A verbal warning given by the classroom teacher

Second Reminder: Loss of the Chromebook for the day, accompanied by a note/email home

                                Behaviour will be noted on VeraCross

Third Reminder: Loss of the Chromebook for the week, accompanied by a note/email home

                              Behaviour will be noted on VeraCross
