MAP Testing in The 3rd-Grade

 Dear Families,

Next week third graders will be taking The MAP tests (Measure of Academic Progress) MAP Growth is a computer-adaptive test. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. MAP covers math, language usage, and reading.

To prepare for testing:
  1. Make sure that your child is well rested on school days and especially the day of a test. Children who are tired are less able to pay attention in class or handle the demands of a test.
  2. Give your child a well-rounded diet. A healthy body leads to a healthy, active mind.

Testing schedule:

Monday, September 3: Math
Wednesday, September 5: Reading
Tuesday, September 11: Language Usage

Thank you,
The Third Grade Team
