Welcome Back 4th Grade!
We are so excited to have our students back in the classroom for the 2020 school year! We hope you all enjoyed your holiday vacations, spent time with your family and friends and recharged your batteries for the next semester.
We have a lot of updates and reminders to share with you concerning upcoming trips and curriculum. Our Sitio do Carrocao field trip is the most exciting news, which is right around the corner. We'll be holding a Parent Q & A session next Tuesday for parents to learn a bit more about this long time 4th grade field trip tradition. Sítio do Carroção Behavior Contract
In order to ensure a successful trip for all students and staff, Graded School is outlining a code of conduct for all 4th Grade Students. This code of conduct is a contract that outlines behavior expectations which must be followed on the trip. This is a contract between all parties listed below that will outline clear behavior expectations so that all students are safe and have an enjoyable time.
Due back January 28th.
Homework Reminders
Students are expected to read for 30 minutes everyday!
Log their reading by hand or on Biblionasium.
Eureka Math HW Notebooks are sent home on Monday, due back on Wednesday.
And assigned again on Wednesday and due back on Friday.
Multiplication & Division
Our students are in the process of reviewing their knowledge and skills of multi-digit multiplication using three particular strategies; Area Model, Partial Product, and the Standard Algorithm. Soon we'll be embarking on understanding how to use these same skills to divide large numbers.

Birthdays are this Friday, January 24th at 12:45 on the playground!
