Grade 4 Curriculum Update for the Week of May 11

Reading	Using the works of Patricia Polacco, students will examine the themes found in these stories and share their ideas in a book club.
Writing	Students will be using their compiled evidence to draft structured paragraphs for their Literary Essay.
Math	Students are continuing their work on their fractions module. This week will focus heavily on comparing fractions on number lines.
Science	Students will experiment to understand the role that mass and acceleration play in the creation of energy.
Portuguese	PLA: Revisão e edição das cartas de reclamação redigidas na semana anterior - projeto final na unidade Gênero Argumentativo/Opinativo.           Finalização de tarefas pendentes no Google Classroom.          Leitura e compreensão de texto no Guten News - matéria atribuída pelas professoras. PAL:  Google docs and Flipgrid activities.
PE/Music/Art	PE: We will have another LIVE PE CLASS on Tuesday. Be ready because I might ask you to demonstrate one exercise during the live class.  Music: Soprano Recorder Practice  - Amazing Grace (brow belt) and Ode to Joy (black belt) Art:  Art with everyday objects
