Here we go! Week 9 of Distance learning. Every time I write up these blog posts, I can never believe just how quickly the time passes and how far we have come on this journey. It has been a challenge for all of us, and I have been so proud of the efforts by your bright and resilient children - not to mention the amazing support you have been providing them during this trying time.
Some information for this week:
- We will be taking our Mid-Module Test for Fractions on Thursday (May 21). So we will be spending the days leading up to it revising the concepts that will be touched upon on the test. Wednesday will be an official revision day, but you can help your child revise at any point by getting them to revisit the Exit Tickets of previously completed lessons and by re-watching the class videos by Duane Habecker that are linked each week on Google Classroom. I also plan to run some small groups to provide extra assistance, the groups are to be determined.

We will be continuing with our Literary Essays and also beginning a study on the Patricia Polacco book 'The Butterfly.' The story is thematically rich and contains a lot of historical lessons, so the goal will be to encourage deep thinking about it's subject matter.
