Tomorrow, we begin our year long journey together! I
have been at school for the past couple of weeks getting ready and I am excited
to get started!
This blog will be an important tool for communication throughout the year. Please be sure to check the blog regularly so you do not miss important information (curricular news, important dates, home learning opportunities, etc.)
Starting tomorrow, students should bring their backpacks, a water bottle and a complete change of clothes in a plastic bag. The water bottle and the change of clothes can be kept at school. Please ensure that all these items are clearly labeled with your child's name.
Starting next week, a homework folder will go home every Monday. In the folder there will be 4 books that your child needs to read throughout the week. They should practice reading these books to someone until they are fluent. There will also be 4 math sheets your child will need to complete. Most of the time these math sheets can be done independently. Ideally one book and one math sheet should be completed per day. Your child will also receive a list of sight words that they will need to practice for a couple of minutes each day. Please return homework folders every Friday.
Please take note that our day starts at 8:00 AM. Please ensure that your child arrives on time.
