Mr. Maykut: Science is Tops!

Our next experiment in science involves testing different types of spinning tops.  Ask your child what they already know about balance.  To get familiar with the materials, students built different types of spinning tops using shafts, small disks and large disks.  Learning how to spin a top was also a challenge for some students.  Stay tuned for more news about which tops spin the longest!
