Class of 2028: Mr. Maykut's Class: Valentine's Day

To celebrate Valentine's Day, students visited each second grade classroom to complete an activity related to friendship. In Ms. Mendonca's class, students wrote poems. Ms. Zieger had students write compliments to their friends. Students created special friendship handshakes with their friends with Mr Tarigo. In Mr. Maykut's class students designed A-MAZE-ING Valentine's Day cards. After visiting each second grade room, students met back up and celebrated their friendships with delicious cookies and marshmallow pops! A BIG thank you to Cyndy for making them! They were a big hit. Students also learned about the tradition of giving Valentine's Day cards in the United States and Canada by receiving their very own Valentine!
