Ms. Trabelsi- Distance Learning Week 3

Dear Parents and Students, 

We are proud of the progress made and maintained by our students throughout the past couple of weeks. There is so much to celebrate indeed. For instance, the fourth graders have just completed a great project in social studies relating to the Port of Santos, which was scheduled as a field trip. They have also successfully completed their very first math mid-module test online and have scored high in most questions. 

As we transition to Week 3, I would like to remind both parents and students of two (2) important and additional Zoom sessions. The first relates to writing and the second to Math. 

Tuesday, 7th of April, @ 10:20 : Peer-editing session on information Report drafts.

Wednesday 8th of April @ 10:40 ( right after our regular Zoom meeting): End of Module 3 Math Test.

It is very important for our students to follow all directions and watch all videos with each assignment. It is also very important that every child be available and present online for their scheduled individual student-teacher check-in. These meetings are not optional. In case a student doesn't show up, s/he or one of the parents needs to inform the teacher of the reason behind the absence. Some of these meetings involve other co-teachers who wish to share an important feedback to support your child. 

This is also a gentle reminder that Zoom classes scheduled at 10:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are whole class meetings when teachers take attendance. It important to show up on time and follow Zoom class rules. Next to these regular meetings, we have established a system for individual check-in meetings. This week's schedule looks slightly different as students previously scheduled for Friday will be moved up to Thursday morning sessions.
